Ovrix Workspace is engineered from the ground up to be local-first and privacy-preserving. All workspace metadata created using the extension is stored exclusively inside your local browser storage environment (chrome.storage.local).

1. Information We Store Locally

The following data items are saved strictly on your local device:

Conversation titles, folder organization, and relative chat URLs
Custom bookmarks, notes, and tags
Extension settings, sidebar width, and layout preferences
License verification state and legal agreement consent records

2. Zero Server Uploads & No Tracking

Ovrix does NOT upload, transmit, sync, or transmit your conversation data to external remote servers. We do NOT track advertising identifiers, monitor user browsing history, or sell any user data to third parties.

3. AI Platform Interaction & Security

Ovrix Workspace functions as a client-side interface overlay. It discovers conversation links within your browser window without reading, extracting, or transmitting private prompt contents, AI response bodies, or account credentials.

4. Extension Permissions Explanation

Ovrix Workspace requests minimal Chrome extension permissions necessary for functionality:

storage: Required to persist your folders, tags, and workspace configuration locally.
downloads: Required to allow exporting offline JSON backups of your workspace data.
Supported Host Domains: Required to mount the sidebar UI overlay on supported AI platform pages (ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and Perplexity).

5. Data Control, Backup & Deletion

You maintain complete control over your data. You can export a full JSON backup of your workspace at any time. Uninstalling the extension or clearing local browser storage completely deletes all local Ovrix data from your device.
